DAY 1
KAMPALA
You'll be personally met when you arrive at Entebbe airport, and transferred to the newly
renovated Kampala Serena Hotel in Kampala
DAY 2
KIBALE NATIONAL PARK
Leave Kampala after breakfast for the fascinating drive through papyrus swamps (Deleted
reference to Nile Delta)to Kibale National Park just under the Ruwenzori Mountains. Afternoon guided walk in
the lakes area of the park for outstanding birds and primates. Meals and overnight at Ndali Lodge.
DAY 3
KIBALE/SEMULIKI NATIONAL PARK
Early morning trek for chimpanzees. Kibale is the best reserve in Africa to view chimps and the forest boasts of 12 different primate species, a thick jungle with a towering canopy. In the afternoon, drive to the Toro-Semiliki Wildlife Reserve right under the Ruwenzori Mountains Dinner and overnight at Semiliki Safari Lodge.
DAYS 4
SEMULIKI WILDLIFE RESERVE
Semliki Wildlife Reserve, the oldest protected area in Uganda and home to a staggering
array of flora and fauna. The Reserve is situated in the basin of the Western Rift Valley. It is one of the
most diverse habitats in Africa with wonderful examples of Riparian forest, gallery rain forest, borassus
palm forest, and short and high grass savannas. Chimps exist next to elephant, lion and buffalo as well as
the usual Western Uganda species.
An early morning rise, tea in your tent and a good breakfast before you depart on A Boat Trip on Lake Albert to try and see the incredible and rare shoebill, visually a cross between a dodo and a dinosaur. The lake
is superb: there are sand cliffs where brightly coloured colonies of red-throated bee-eaters dart in an out
of their burrows, there are several fishing villages along the way, virtually untouched by the
'western world'. Then drive back to the Lodge through the borassus palm forest and the acacia savannah
reveals different species of raptors and passerines. Overnight at Semliki lodge (Fullboard)
DAY 5
SEMULIKI/QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
This morning drive south into Queen Elizabeth National Park, sightseeing and game viewing
enroute. Dinner and overnight at spectacular Mweya Safari Lodge perched right on the edge of the escarpment
overlooking the Ugandan Great Lakes.
DAY 6
QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
Dawn game drive in the park, where all the big game can be seen in abundance. Famous for
elephant and kob, expect to see some rarer animals like giant forest hog. There are 638 recorded bird species
in the park! After lunch, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which connects Lakes Albert and George,
for large numbers of buffalo and hippo. Meals and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge.
DAY 7
QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK - LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK
Today we depart for Lake Mburo National park, arriving late afternoon and we will take an
evening game drive as well a night game-drive under spotlight. Meals and overnight at Mihingo Lodge.
DAY 8
LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK - ENTEBBE/Depart
Return to Entebbe, today, with private rooms at the Laico Lake Victoria Hotel before your
evening departures home.
Special Note:
Continue on Day 8 onto Gorilla Trek for the exciting
mountain gorilla trekking. Arrive three days early for
the Murchison Falls Add-on to explore this northern
national park with its famous falls.
