| THE
MIGRATION SAFARI
DAY 1
KILIMANJARO - ARUSHA
On arrival at Kilimanjaro or Arusha
Airport you'll be personally met and escorted by our
driver-guide to the comfortable Moivaro Plantation
Lodge in the heart of Tanzania’s safari
centre where you’ll spend the night. Activities,
including swimming, shopping, or visiting the Tanzanite
Experience museum are available for those who arrive
early.
DAY 2
ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK
Game drives in the Arusha National
Park with picnic lunches. Dinner and overnight shall
be at the Moivaro Plantation Lodge.
DAY 3 -4
TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
Full days exploring the sand rivers,
grassland, and woodlands dotted with amazing baobab
trees in this great park. The birdlife in Tarangire
is outstanding; leopards are particularly abundant here,
as are giraffe. Meals and overnight at the Tarangire
Safari Lodge offering stunning views over the
Tarangire River.
DAY 5 - 6
LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK
Drive from Tarangire to Lake Manyara
National Park, passing through the cool shade of the
groundwater forest before reaching the lakeshore. The
Park is best known for its tree climbing lions, but
you are more likely to a encounter elephants, buffalo,
primates and astounding bird life. After a picnic lunch
you continue game-viewing. Return as the sun sets behind
the distant highlands and climb the Great Rift Valley
escarpment to Kirurumu Tented Lodge
on its edge for a relaxing dinner and overnight. The
second day at Manyara shall be spend visiting local
tribes and walking along the Great Rift Valley escarpment
ridge with Maasai guides.
DAY 7
NGORONGORO CRATER
In the morning you depart for the
Ngorongoro Crater for a days game viewing, which is
seasonally home to over 20,000 large mammals. See some
of the world's largest elephant, large prides of lion,
and rare black rhino. In the late afternoon, head back
to the Hoopoe Ngorongoro Tented Camp
on the Great Rift Valley Escarpment for dinner and overnight.
DAY 8
NGORONGORO CRATER
Drive to the Ngorongoro Highlands
where you shall meet a Maasai chief, who guides you
around the nearby bomas and on a leisurely walk to the
stunning Olmoti Crater. Picnic lunches. Hoopoe
Ngorongoro Tented Camp for dinner and overnight.
DAY 9
SERENGETI PLAINS
After breakfast depart and drive
to the Serengeti via Olduvai Gorge to visit the interesting
museum at this world-famous archaeological site containing
fossils of our early two million year-old human ancestors.
Continue on a game-drive through the vast Serengeti
National Park to the luxurious Hoopoe Serengeti
Tented Camp for dinner and overnight.
DAY 10 - 11
SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
For two days you'll explore the southern
plains and western hills, where normally at this time
of the year around 2 million wildebeest, zebra and a
vast assortment of other plains animals, congregate
to feast on the rich nutritious grasses that appear
after the rainy season. There is no other as impressive
or dramatic wildlife spectacle on earth. During the
nights you'll be pampered in the Hoopoe Serengeti
Tented Camp set near the migration but hours
and days away from the main tourist lodges. The vistas
are grand and the scene is often filled by tens of thousands
of wildebeest and Zebra and other migrants and attendant
predators.

12
SERENGETI – ARUSHA/DEPART
After breakfast you shall drive to
Seronera to connect with the 11am Regional Air schedule
flight to Arusha. You shall be met and transferred to
town where a day room shall be available until the evening
departures (Breakfast only).

THE BUSH AND
BEACH SAFARI
Day 1
ARUSHA (Dinner Only)

rhino. Ascend the crater rim at dusk through verdant
montane forest for dinner and overnight at the Hoopoe
Ngorongoro Tented Camp.
Day 7
ZANIZBAR STONE TOWN (Breakfast Only)
Fly from Arusha to Zanzibar Old Town
and transfer to the atmospheric Dhow Palace,
n in the old Stone Town of Zanzibar for overnight stay.
Breakfast only.
Day 8
ZANZIBAR (Half Board)
Explore the fascinating Stone Town
of Zanzibar on a walking tour through the narrow streets
of the town to see Livingstone's house and the old Slave
Market. Or perhaps take a trip to Jozani forest to see
the orchids and indigenous red Colobus monkeys. In the
afternoon you transfer to the North East coast of Zanzibar
to Pongwe Beach Lodge for dinner and
overnight.
Day 9, 10
ZANZIBAR (Half Board)
Enjoy two days at the pristine beach.
Instead of speedboats or water skiing, sailing is offered
with the local 'ngalawas', the traditional wooden fishing
boats; there is also snorkelling at the colourful coral
reef where one may see dolphins. The food consists of
fresh catches of the day and has been praised for its
superb quality. Overnight Pongwe Beach Lodge
(full board).
Day 11
RETURN (Breakfast Only)
Return to Zanzibar Airport
in time for flight to Dar es Salaam. Here you are met
and transferred to International departures. (Breakfast
and lunch only) [Note that as there are a number of
flights out of Dar es Salaam you may require a day room
or even dinner booking, all can be arranged in advance].
