This morning you are scheduled to
arrive in to Dar es Salaam International Airport where

Camp shall meet you and transfer to the camp for lunch.
In the afternoon safari by 4x4 drive and specially adapted
safari vehicle, or take a boat safari. Dinner and overnight
at the Selous Safari Camp.
Few other safaris in Tanzania
evoke the romance, mystique and spiritual delight of
the African bush as one in the Selous Game Reserve.
Embracing 54,000 square kilometres of south-western
Tanzania, it is the largest protected wilderness reserve
on the continent, three times larger than the Serengeti
and twice the size of Belgium.
Named after the legendary 19th century explorer and
hunter Frederick Courtenay Selous, the reserve was founded
by the German colonial administration in 1905. It was
later expanded to include traditional elephant migration
routes and accommodate the vast herds of buffalo that
roam this remote, untouched corner of Africa.
DAY 2 - 3
SELOUS GAME RESERVE
Two full days game viewing in the
Selous Game Reserve. Overnight stay at the Selous
Safari Camp.
DAY 4
SELOUS / RUAHA NATIONAL PARK

Park. You shall be met by the Jongomero Camp team and
transferred to the camp for lunch. Afternoons game viewing
activities and dinner and overnight at the Jongomero
Camp.
For anyone seeking a true African
wilderness experience, a visit to Ruaha National Park
is essential. Ruaha is the largest park in Tanzania although
is perhaps the least well-known and yet
to connoisseurs it is without doubt one of the most
spectacular in Africa.
Covering a conservation area
of 10,300 square kilometres in the south-west of the
country, Ruaha sprawls within and along the Great Rift
Valley, covering a unique transition zone where the
Eastern and Southern species of both fauna and flora
meet against a dramatic topographical backdrop.
DAY 5 - 6
SELOUS
Two full days game viewing in the
Ruaha National Park and staying at the Jongomero
Camp.
DAY 7
RUAHA / RAS KUTANI BEACH
After breakfast
you shall be transferred to the airstrip to connect
with the charter flight to Ras Kutani on the Tanzanian
mainland coast. Spend the day and night relaxing in
the wonderfully stylish beach comfort of Ras
Kutani.
The tranquil Indian Ocean shores of
Tanzania today belie the centuries of turbulent and
often bloody history that raged along this coast in
past centuries, shaping the destiny of Africa itself.
Only the distant billowing of
the scimitar-shaped sail of an Arab dhow, unchanged
for millennia, will give the modern day visitor an indication
of a past that witnessed the waves of traders, explorers,
adventurers, pirates, slavers and invaders that came
with the tides of time.
DAY 8 - 9
RAS KUTANI
Spend another two full days relaxing
by the beach at Ras Kutani.
DAY 10
